Pro Bono Work

Boardman Clark believes that providing legal services on a pro bono basis to those in need is a critical aspect of achieving equal justice. The firm encourages its attorneys to incorporate pro bono matters into their practices by setting target goals for pro bono hours worked and compensating attorneys for their pro bono efforts.

Boardman Clark's pro bono cases have come in many forms in recent years, including:

  • Accepting appointments by the Court to represent incarcerated individuals, including successful representation of a Muslim individual with a religious discrimination claim
  • Representing individuals at domestic abuse injunction hearings through the Domestic Abuse Intervention Services
  • Providing services to individuals regarding immigration issues
