Homeowners Associations (HOAs) Required to File an Annual Public Notice By Year End

HOAs are required to file annual renewal notices by December 31 of each year. This is separate from the annual report that gets filed in the quarter of an HOA’s formation with WDFI.

Until the required notice has been filed, the HOA is precluded from charging late fees or other fines for unpaid assessments owed by a residential lot owner, as well as any fees in connection with a transfer of ownership of a residential lot.

For additional information on how to file the renewal notice and any other required filings, please see Homeowners Associations (HOAs) Required to File an Annual Public Notice.
