IRS Reminder To Tax-Exempt Organizations Of May 15, 2018 Filing Deadline

On May 8, 2018, the IRS issued a release reminding tax-exempt organizations on a calendar year tax year that May 15, 2018, is the deadline to file their Form 990-series information returns for 2017. The release also instructs not to include Social Security Numbers or other personally identifiable information about donors, clients, or benefactors on the Form 990, because the Form may be publicly disclosed. The release also includes brief information on which form in the Form 990-series to file. See IR-2018 – 117.
