June 29 Deadline for Farmers to Apply for Wisconsin Farm Support Program
Jeff Storch | 06.26.20
Monday, June 29, 2020, is the last day for farmers to apply for funds under the Wisconsin Farm Support Program. The minimum amount is $1,000 and the maximum amount is $3,500. Payments are to be sent July 15, after all applications are received and reviewed.
Apply online at https://tap.revenue.wi.gov/farm/ or call (608) 266‑2772 for assistance. Note that the Wisconsin Department of Revenue (WDOR) indicates that due to system maintenance, the online Farm Support application will be unavailable Friday, June 26 from 10:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. Saturday.
In addition, though not entirely clear, WDOR’s instructions indicate that an LLC treated as a disregarded entity (i.e., sole proprietorship) should apply using its owner’s Social Security Number, but LLCs filing a corporate, partnership, or fiduciary tax return should apply using their Federal Employer Identification Number.
