Jennifer is chairperson of the firm’s Executive Committee and serves as co-chairperson of the Labor and Employment Law Group. Jennifer has been with the firm since 1995. Jennifer has extensive experience representing employers in all aspects of employment relations, including wage and hour issues, discrimination, Family and Medical Leave, ADA, reductions in force, harassment, hiring, discipline and terminations. Jennifer represents employers in litigation of employment-related claims and conducts workplace investigations. She also has extensive experience drafting employee handbooks, employment contracts, and non-competition agreements.
Jennifer is a sought out speaker on human resources issues and conducts human resources and management trainings for clients of all sizes.

Representative Work
- Advising employers on a wide range of employment issues, such as hiring, discipline and discharge, wage and hour laws, FMLA, ADA, discrimination and harassment issues, retaliation concerns, and unemployment and worker’s compensation issues.
- Representing employers in employment discrimination suits before administrative agencies including Wisconsin’s Equal Rights Division and the EEOC, including representing employers who have employment practices liability insurance.
- Negotiating and drafting employment contracts, non-competition agreements, and separation agreements.
- Reviewing and drafting employee handbooks and critical employer policies.
- Conducting workplace investigations on high-sensitivity issues.
- Conducting workforce and management trainings on harassment, discrimination, disability and other employment-related topics.

HR Heads Up | 10.24.24
Every U.S. employer has a duty to verify its employees’ identity and work authorization documents, to help ensure its workforce is legally authorized to work in the United States. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Social Security Administration (SSA) are launching E-Verify+, a new voluntary service, to simplify this requirement.
